A Choir has 34 members at the moment and we perform 4 concerts every year - PLUS a few 'specials' when we are asked.  We've been going for just over 25 years and we're glad to have a wide range of ages and experience among our membership and enjoy

Rehearsals are rewarding and choir members enjoy friendships they have made through singing with the choir.

A Choir rehearses weekly throughout term times on Tuesday evenings from 7-9.30.  Members are expected to attend most rehearsals and attendance is high.  We achieve the great performances we present by working hard together.

Rehearsal are usually held in A venue.  Please refer to the map below for details and directions.  There's plenty of parking and it's usually warm, even in winter!

Most people in A Choir read music - although some are much more confident than others!  We don't hold auditions but after a trial period of several weeks, the Musical Director and Membership Secretary will have a word with you to check you're fitting in OK.  After this trial period, we'll all be in a better position for you to commit to membership and that's the time you will be asked for your first term's subscription, 

Annual subscriptions are £120  or £45 per term, and cover all the choir's rehearsal and concert expenses.  Music is provided as far as possible through Public Libraries and the choir has its own music library.   Occasionally, members will need to buy their own copies of much we sing.   Subscriptions can be paid online by Paypal through the Members Area of our website, but in any case, the Membership Secretary,  will let you know when they fall due.
